We do allow dogs on site, provided they are on a leash at all times (or in a carrier). However, we do not allow any, non-service animals to be inside our buildings.

I will be coming thru from Montana and would like to see the tour. I am traveling with my 7 pound poodle and I will not leave her alone in my truck. If she is kept in a purse/doggie carrier can I bring her in with me. Thank you

If you are referring to the Ghost Tours of Laramie City that is hosted at this site, then yes those are still happening this year. There are two more days that they are having the tours: October 30 and 31st. You can call 307-745-3733 for more information. We no longer have gun fights and the frontier town is closed except for special events. The mission of the Prison is to focus on the history of the site itself. We hope you will visit soon and see some of the changes that have taken place. Thank you for your interest in the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site.

Visitor Services Associate/Store Clerk and Historic Interpreter Tour Guide and Maintenance Worker. If interested you must fill out an application on-line with the Wyoming State job website. These are 40 hour/week positions beginning May – Nov.

Hello and thanks for your interest in employment at Wyoming Territorial Prison. Yes we are hiring 3 summer seasonal positions. One is for Visitor Services/Sales Clerk position, another is for Historic Interpreter Tour Guide and last is for Maintenance Worker. However all these positions are 40 hours a week. If interested simply go to the Wyoming State employment website and fill out the on-line application.
